SECLUDED PATIO & ROOF TERRACE WITH STUNNING PANORAMIC VIEWS
This charming village house full of traditional Andalusian character, would be ideally suited to a younger couple as a holiday home, particularly during the warmer summer months.
Although the house is rustic and in need of some renovation work, it is comfortable & cosy with a delightful secluded patio. From its sunny rooftop terrace there are wonderful panoramic views encompassing El Hacho mountain, the Castle of Eagles, and across the River Genal valley to the Mediterranean ~ on a clear day there are views to Gibraltar & the Rif mountains of North Africa!
Ground floor:
The main entrance opens directly into an open-plan sitting room with antique terracotta floor tiles, a wood-burning stove and a small dining area. Off the hallway that leads through to the kitchen, there is a walk-in shower room.
The kitchen is typically Andalusian with decorative blue & white tiling. It is quite spacious, with room for a small breakfast table. Glazed French doors open into the small patio with antique ‘hydraulic’ floor tiles, and built-in seating ~ a delightful spot for a BBQ, with a lovely palm tree providing some welcome shade in the summer months.
Upper floor:
From the landing area, a wooden staircase leads up to a small mezzanine area with space for a double bed. The spacious main bedroom is off the landing area and has a built-in wardrobe. The glazed French doors with a ‘Juliet’ balcony overlook the patio, and from here there are lovely views across the rooftops to the village church and Castle of Eagles.
An enclosed staircase from the bedroom leads to the very spacious south-facing roof terrace where there is plenty of room for sunbathing, and admire wonderful views to the Mediterranean, Gibraltar & Morocco!
