LOVELY VIEWS, GARAGE & LARGE GARDEN WITH ROOM FOR A POOL
Benarrabá is a pretty ‘Pueblo Blanco’ in the Serranía de Ronda, which was founded by the Berbers! The village has an interesting labyrinth of quaint streets full of Andalusian character & white-washed houses. The village overlooks the protected River Genal valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with stunning views across forested landscape of cork oaks, pine and olive trees, to the Sierra de Las Nieves mountains.
Benarrabá is only 10 mins drive from the popular ‘White Village’ of Gaucín where there is a good choice of high-quality restaurants & tapas bars. The historic Medieval down of Ronda, which straddles the famous El Tajo Gorge and has the oldest bullring in Spain, is 35 mins drive away.
This is a very attractive property with lots of Andalusian charm and traditional features, and it has lovely secluded garden with room for constructing a pool. Designed by a British architect and constructed in 2007 to a high standard, the house occupies a large site which formed part of an ancient Blacksmith’s Forge.
The house is in an elevated position with spectacular views across the rustic red-tiled rooftops to the pretty church tower and the distant mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves. It is easily accessible and is just a few minutes walk away from local amenities.

The impressive antique wood entrance doors open to reveal a spacious hallway with staircase to upper floor. The ground floor comprises the ensuite Master bedroom, with luxury rolltop bath and a walk-in shower; double guest bedroom with ensuite shower room; guest WC, and a utility room adjacent to a small light-well/patio.
Upper floor:
The extensive split-level living area is open plan and takes full advantage of the wonderful views. A really eye-catching & charming feature is the vaulted tower with wood paneled ceiling.
This floor comprises a light & airy comfortable sitting area with wood-burning stove, a dining area, and on the upper level there is a well-fitted kitchen. From here, there is access to two large terraces and steps leading up to the main garden.
Across the corner of the living area there is a small room with a ‘glass curtain walling’ overlooking the village street and with lovely views. This is currently used as a children’s bedroom, but could be a study etc.
Exterior:
The two large secluded terraces are surrounded by a variety of fragrant flowering shrubs and exotic Mediterranean plants. The covered terrace, with views to the distant mountains, is a super spot for alfresco dining and entertaining. The other terrace is ideal for sunbathing ~ private, sunny and with space for a Jacuzzi! From the terraced area, there are paved steps leading up into the garden.
One of the outstanding features of this enchanting property, is the extensive secluded garden. It is well established and planted with a variety of exotic fragrant Mediterranean shrubs, roses etc. There are several fig trees, olive and a lemon tree and a vegetable/herb garden area with a garden/tool shed.
